Location: Werribee & Epping Workshops + Onsite Hire Fleet
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Technician to join our team! Based between our Werribee and Epping workshops , with additional onsite work across our hire fleet , this role offers variety and hands‑on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Toyota forklift models, ensuring their safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and safety checks
- Identify and replace faulty or worn parts
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide efficient, high-quality service
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in varied conditions (including outdoors)
