As a Youth Disability Support Worker with GSL, you'll support children and young people aged 0–18 with complex physical, intellectual and mental health needs in their home life, learning and community inclusion. You'll be a consistent, trusted presence in the life of a young person who needs exactly that — someone who shows up, holds the line with warmth, and helps them build the skills and confidence to be a valued part of their community.

Date: Tuesday August 4th & Wednesday August 5th 2026
Time: Tuesday August 4th @ 1:30pm & Wednesday August 5th @ 10am
Location: The Network, 31 Bolewski Street, Bundaberg QLD 4670

What you'll be doing

- Providing secure, person‑centred care in a therapeutic home environment grounded in trauma‑informed practice and strong child safety principles
- Supporting young people through daily life, learning and personal growth — following individual plans to build independence, confidence and life skills
- Creating a stable, nurturing environment where young people feel genuinely safe and heard
- Building real, trusting relationships through consistency, empathy and calm — being the steady presence they can depend on
- Encouraging community connection and social inclusion so young people feel part of something beyond their front door

You're the right person if...

- You have experience supporting children or young people with complex needs and you understand what trauma‑informed,



child‑safe practice looks like in action
- You're reliable, emotionally grounded and don't rattle when things get hard
- You hold or are working toward a Certificate IV in Disability Support, Youth Work or a related field
- You hold a Working with Children Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), current First Aid and CPR certificates, and a minimum P2 driver's licence
- You hold or are willing to apply for an LCS2
