HQ Group’s (Arbory Bar & Eatery, HER, Straight Up Cocktails) annual pop-up eatery and bar, AFLOAT, is back to grace Melbourne's CBD from September through to June.

Nestled on the North side of ‘Birrarung’, AFLOAT transforms each year with new fit-out and theme, drawing inspiration from our favourite international holiday destinations.

Season 11’s re-launch will feel like a familiar but new addition to Melbourne’s summer social scene; with the venue’s interior, design, food & beverage offering, music & entertainment program and a reminder that the good times are right around the corner.

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic CDP’s & Commis Chefs to join the team at AFLOAT Season 11. Work and learn in a positive, fun, and professional environment.

About the role

- You will work in a high-volume environment but not compromise on quality and preparation of ingredients
- You will work across a rotating roster, lunch and dinner
- You will have a sound understanding of workplace health and safety standards
- You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills
- You will be supported by senior management

What we are looking for

- An enthusiastic individual, trade qualified, who is motivated to learn
- Creative individual who champions quality produce and simplicity




- Chefs who have worked with varying cuisines from Euro to Japanese, including Sushi making experience
- Resilience to perform in a high performing busy kitchen
- Team player, who thrives in a collaborative and communicative workplace
- Availability to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
