Experienced Tyre Fitter and wheel alignment technician

Goodway Automotive Group is seeking an Experienced Tyre Fitter and Wheel Alignment Technician to join our team at our Kensington, VIC location. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in tyre fitting and wheel alignment services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality automotive services to our valued customers whilst maintaining the highest safety and professional standards. This position is integral to our service delivery operations and plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

Key responsibilities

- Fitting, balancing and inflating tyres to vehicle specifications and manufacturer guidelines
- Performing wheel alignment checks and adjustments using modern diagnostic equipment
- Inspecting tyres and wheels for damage, wear and defects prior to fitting
- Liaising with customers to understand their tyre and wheel alignment requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of all tyre and alignment work completed
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Performing routine maintenance and checks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Assisting with stock management of tyres and related components
- Providing customers with professional advice on tyre care and wheel alignment maintenance

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter and Wheel Alignment Technician in a professional automotive environment
- Competency in using modern wheel alignment equipment and diagnostic tools




- Strong knowledge of tyre types, specifications and vehicle compatibility
- Demonstrated ability to interpret manufacturer guidelines and technical documentation
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Current or willingness to obtain relevant automotive trade qualifications and certifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks in a busy workshop setting
- Physical capability to perform manual work including lifting and handling tyres
- Reliability and punctuality
