We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while helping ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while helping ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

This is a varied position that will see you responsible for the end-to-end management of supplier accounts, supporting customer accounts, preparing reporting and working closely with internal departments and external suppliers.

You'll be trusted to manage your own workflow while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate authorisation
- Manage purchase order receipt entry, verification and processing




- Prepare and reconcile supplier statements
- Manage a high-volume Accounts Payable function within a seasonal cash flow environment
- Prioritise creditor payments in accordance with cash flow while maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Prepare and reconcile supplier payment runs for approval
- Maintain supplier records within the accounting system
- Process customer receipts and assist with Accounts Receivable functions
- Prepare customer statements and reporting for the Sales Team
- Respond to supplier and customer account enquiries via phone and email
- Ensure financial transactions comply with the Chart of Accounts
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports
- Assist with the development and improvement of finance policies and procedures
- Provide general support across the Finance Team as required

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team while taking ownership of your own workload. You're organised, proactive and have a strong eye for detail.

You'll also bring:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer or similar finance role
- Demonstrated experience managing a busy, high-volume Accounts Payable function
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Solid organisational and time management abilities
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Confidence working independently and within a team
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude

Desirable (but not essential)

- Experience with EZY Systems or similar ERP/accounting software
- Experience within the wine, agriculture or manufacturing industries
- Willingness to travel to our Piangil winery when required
