CPM Engineering is a well-established engineering and fabrication business based in Gympie, now part of The Davey Group, a diversified Queensland manufacturing, fabrication, and construction group. We are looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our workshop team.

The Role

As Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying protective coatings and paint finishes to fabricated steel and metal components. Duties include:

- Preparing surfaces and applying primers, undercoats, and top coats to specification
- Working from coating and paint specifications supplied for each job
- Operating spray painting equipment safely and to a high standard of finish
- Working closely with our sandblasting and fabrication teams to ensure quality handover between processes
- Maintaining paint booth, equipment, and work areas
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe handling of paints and solvents





What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as an industrial or spray painter, ideally in a fabrication or heavy engineering setting
- Understanding of surface preparation and coating specifications
- Ability to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- A current driver's licence
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
