The Ubertas Group is a leading privately owned group with headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled accountant with food and beverage experience to be the accountant for Birds Basement, Melbourne's premier jazz club.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Management Accountant to provide accurate financial reports, insights and analysis to support decision making and drive business growth. This is a part-time, permanent position and is a comprehensive role responsible for the accurate accounting of Birds Basement Pty Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

- Timely reconciliations and reporting for the company, ensuring full integrity of the ticketing, purchasing, sales and merchant facility systems to our ERP Netsuite general ledger
- Ensuring compliance with the group’s expenditure and treasury policies
- Working with our accounts officer to maintain accuracy of the AP and AR ledgers
- Month end stocktakes with associated inventory and cost of goods sold reporting
- Banking and cash management tasks
- Reporting artist performance fees




- Providing assistance to the GM re maintenance of onsite systems - ordermate , tyro, me&u;
- Year end workpapers
- BAS reporting

Requirements:

- Food and beverage accounting expertise
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a management accountant for an entire company's general ledger
- Solid systems, inventory and accounting technical skills
- Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP accounting software preferred
- Advanced excel skills and a solid understanding of the expenditure cycle
- CPA or CA program commenced or completed preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
