Sensory Play Centre is a new Centre, operating under My Disability Provider ( NDIS registered provider) and is set to open in the coming weeks. Designed specifically for children under the age of 12, the centre will offer a safe, inclusive, and engaging space tailored to support young participants with disabilities through sensory-based play and support services.

Qualifications & experience

Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services, or a related field (preferred but not essential)

Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role , ideally within the disability, healthcare, or community services sector

Strong familiarity with NDIS processes, terminology, and documentation

Hands‑on experience using client management systems

Proven ability to engage effectively with clients and families from diverse backgrounds , including those with disabilities or additional needs

Demonstrated capacity to manage confidential information in line with privacy and data protection standards. First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, NDIS Screening Check, NDIS Orientation Certificate, Working with Children Check, Current Police Check, Driver's License and a reliable Car with Insurance.

Tasks & responsibilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills – to interact clearly with parents, support workers, and children





High level of patience and empathy – essential for working with children with sensory sensitivities or developmental needs

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities – to manage bookings, admin tasks, and client queries simultaneously

Child-safe practices and awareness – understanding how to maintain a safe and welcoming space for children under 12

Basic understanding of behavioural cues or sensory needs – to support families appropriately when issues arise

Team collaboration skills – ability to work closely with support workers, therapists, and management

Tech literacy – ability to use scheduling software, CRM systems, and communication platforms (e.g., email, text, social media)

Cultural sensitivity – respectful and inclusive communication with families from diverse backgrounds

Conflict resolution – ability to manage client concerns calmly and professionally

Positive and professional attitude – as the first point of contact, setting the tone for the centre experience

Experience as a receptionist , ideally within the NDIS industry , to ensure familiarity with client needs, support processes, and effective front desk operations in a disability-focused setting.Great Pay, Stable Working Hours & Great Team Setting.
