Based at our Thomastown branch, you'll be responsible for the full operation — from receiving and dispatch through to counter sales, team supervision and business development. Key responsibilities include:
Managing all warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
Serving trade and retail customers at the counter with accurate HVAC product advice
Supervising, rostering and developing a small team of warehouse and counter sales staff
Maintaining stock accuracy through cycle counts and stock rotation
Following up quotes and sales leads to convert enquiries into orders
Identifying opportunities to grow trade accounts and repeat business
Upholding customer service standards and resolving issues promptly
Championing secure work practices and WHS compliance across the team
Key Performance Indicators
Your performance will be measured against:
Monthly and annual sales budgets
Stock accuracy rates from cycle counts and stocktakes
Customer service standards — acknowledge customers within 30 seconds, answer phones within 4 rings, respond to emails within 1 hour
WHS compliance: incident rates, hazard reporting and housekeeping audits
Team performance, retention and training completion
What We're Looking For
Current forklift licence (LF)
Demonstrated warehouse management and team leadership experience
Counter sales or customer service experience in a trade, wholesale or industrial environment
Physically fit and comfortable working hands-on daily
Strong communication skills with trade customers and staff
Sound computer literacy including POS/inventory systems
Preferred:
Experience in HVAC, refrigeration or related trade supply
Familiarity with Reckon Accounts or similar software
Current driver's licence
