We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to a positive and efficient team environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Chef de Partie to take ownership of a section and continue developing their skills within a dynamic and professional kitchen focused on quality, consistency, and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a timely manner
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Take ownership of a designated section and ensure its smooth operation
- Support the wider kitchen team during service and event execution
- Lead sections during weddings, events, and high-volume service periods
- Assist with menu execution, recipe preparation, and food presentation
- Support stock control, ordering, and storage of food supplies
- Maintain a clean, organised, and effective kitchen environment
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where applicable
- Work collaboratively to maintain a positive team culture
- Contribute to efficient service periods and smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen systems and processes
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV)
- Experience working as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to progress
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lead a section and support junior team members
