Community Pharmacy Friendly Society was established in 1915, and was created as a mutual, not for-profit organisation. Over the years we have operated many pharmacies across the east and southeastern suburbs of Victoria and have owned our two current pharmacies for over 35 years. Community Pharmacy are continuing to work towards developing our partnerships with both Health professionals and community groups. Our aim is to ensure that patient-centred health solutions are available & cover the gaps in community health in our local areas. We provide our customers with convenient and personalised care, offering a complete solution to their health needs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Marketing Lead to join our team on a permanent part-time or fixed-term part-time basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering practical marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, increase customer and member engagement, promote qualified pharmacy services, and support retail and service growth.

This position is a hybrid role, encouraging flexibility and autonomy working from home or any other location that permits. There will be a requirement to visit our Wantirna and Glen Huntly stores on a weekly basis in order to capture content and facilitate merchandising activations.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop and maintain a practical marketing plan aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities
- Conduct customer research through surveys, focus groups, and in-store feedback to better understand customer needs and behaviours
- Create and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across social media, website, email, SMS, in-store point of sale, and local media
- Promote professional pharmacy services, including vaccinations, medication management, weight management, and other pharmacist-led services
- Support membership growth through targeted campaigns, sponsorship activations, customer data capture, and community engagement initiatives
- Develop content for retail campaigns, seasonal promotions, hero products, and bundled offers
- Manage the monthly marketing calendar to align campaigns with store operations and seasonal health opportunities
- Prepare marketing briefs for designers, printers, agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate website updates and ensure content remains accurate and up to date
- Monitor social media channels and customer enquiries, escalating clinical, privacy, or complaint matters where appropriate
- Track campaign performance, prepare monthly marketing reports, and recommend improvements based on customer insights and campaign results
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager,



Pharmacy Operations Manager, Retail Operations Manager, and store teams to ensure campaigns are delivered consistently and effectively

About You

- Demonstrated experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, brand, or customer engagement Proven ability to develop and execute practical marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging customer-facing content
- Experience managing social media platforms, website content, email marketing, and campaign calendars
- Sound judgement and professionalism when communicating within a healthcare or regulated environment
- Ability to analyse marketing data and translate insights into practical actions
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and competing priorities
- Experience working within pharmacy, healthcare, retail, membership organisations, community services, or small businesses will be highly regarded
- Experience using Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Business, email marketing platforms, website content management systems, and reporting dashboards
- Proactive, collaborative, and results-driven approach with strong attention to detail
