Partnership Programs Experiential Educator
Ceis is seeking a dedicated Partnership Programs Experiential Educator to join our team in Deep Creek, Eleuthera.
This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about experiential learning and community engagement.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing educational programs that foster partnerships with local communities, enhancing the overall learning experience for participants.
You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our programs are impactful and aligned with our mission of promoting sustainable development through education.

What you’ll do
- Design and implement experiential learning programs that align with Ceis’s mission and values, focusing on community engagement and sustainability.
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community leaders to identify educational needs and opportunities for partnership.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and educational activities that promote hands-on learning and cultural exchange among participants.
- Develop educational materials and resources that support program objectives and enhance participant engagement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs through participant feedback and assessments, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Coordinate logistics for program delivery, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant communication.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for participants,
providing support and encouragement throughout their learning journey.
- Promote the programs through various channels, including social media, community events, and partnerships, to increase visibility and participation.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant engagement, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning of Ceis’s educational initiatives.
- Stay informed about best practices in experiential education and community engagement, integrating recent ideas into program development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects and celebrates diversity among participants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in experiential education, community engagement, or program development.
- Strong understanding of sustainable development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in facilitating workshops and educational programs, with a focus on hands-on learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for program management and communication.
- Familiarity with the local community in Eleuthera and an understanding of its cultural context is highly desirable.
Nice to have
- Experience in grant writing or fundraising for educational programs.
- Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken in the local community.
- Previous experience living or working in a remote or island setting.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR, enhancing safety during program activities.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with project management software and online collaboration tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Creative thinking and innovation in program design and delivery.
Practical notes
- This position is based in Deep Creek, Eleuthera, and may require occasional travel to other locations for program delivery and partnership meetings.
- The salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in The Bahamas; visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.
