As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Junior Accountant who is eager to build a long-term career in public practice.

About the Role

Working closely with our senior accountants and directors, you'll gain hands-on experience across tax, accounting and business advisory while managing your own portfolio of clients with support and guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership income tax returns

Preparing financial statements and working papers

Preparing BAS and IAS

Reconciling accounts using Xero

Assisting with payroll, GST and FBT compliance

Bookkeeping records and communicating with clients to resolve queries

Liaising with the ATO on client matters where required

Supporting tax planning and year-end compliance work

Assisting with business advisory engagements

Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring lodgement deadlines are met

Providing exceptional client service and building robust client relationships

About You





We're looking for someone who has:

1–2 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm

A Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or equivalent qualification

Commenced or intends to commence CPA or CA studies

A sound understanding of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally

Experience preparing Australian income tax returns

Knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards

Experience preparing BAS and IAS

Proficiency in Xero

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload

Experience with:

Dext

BGL or Class Super

Property investor clients

Small business clients
