We are seeking a confident, experienced and highly driven Early Childhood Educator to lead our nursery/toddler room.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have proven experience working in a childcare centre and be capable of confidently leading a room.

About the Role

You will be responsible for creating a calm, nurturing and well-organised environment where babies and toddlers feel safe, secure and supported.

The successful applicant will:

- Lead the daily operation of the nursery/toddler room
- Guide, support and provide explicit direction to the room team
- Maintain consistent routines, supervision and high standards of care
- Build genuine and professional relationships with children and families
- Plan and deliver meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Complete observations, documentation and planning requirements
- Ensure the rooms remain organised, compliant and well presented
- Communicate confidently with families and centre leadership
- Take ownership of the rooms and work proactively
- Strong experience working in a childcare centre
- Previous experience leading a room




- Strong knowledge of routines and developmental needs

- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A calm, reliable and proactive approach
- A genuine commitment to high-quality care and education
- A relevant approved Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
- Current required checks and certifications

About the Centre & Location - Inner South East Melbourne

Located in an established inner-eastern Melbourne suburb located 12 kilometres southeast of the CBD. We are a boutique early learning centre focused on smaller groups, genuine relationships and providing high-quality care in a warm and supportive environment.

We are looking for an experienced educator who takes pride in their rooms, supports their team and understands the responsibility involved in caring for children.
