We're partnered with a growing residential builder looking for an experienced Drafting Site & Compliance Assessor to support sales and drafting teams in delivering compliant, practical home designs.
This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), residential building regulations and council planning requirements who enjoys solving site and compliance challenges early in the design process.
About the Role
You will assess residential sites, identify planning and compliance requirements, and provide practical design solutions that balance regulatory obligations, buildability and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and identify design and compliance requirements.
- Review sites against the NCC, building regulations and local council requirements.
- Assess planning overlays including flooding, vegetation and tree protection.
- Prepare or assist with shadow diagrams and planning documentation.
- Identify compliance risks early and recommend practical design solutions.
- Provide technical support to sales and drafting teams throughout the pre-construction process.
- Work collaboratively to achieve timely approvals and positive project outcomes.

You will have:
- Experience in residential drafting, building compliance or pre-construction.
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and residential building regulations.
- Understanding of council planning requirements, overlays and site constraints.
- The ability to interpret legislation and apply practical, commercially sound solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
