Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV) is seeking an experienced and values-driven Café Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operation of Daily Good Café – a brand-new café located within the Royal Children's Hospital precinct in Parkville.

More than a café, Daily Good is a social enterprise creating meaningful paid employment opportunities for people with Down syndrome while delivering exceptional food, coffee and customer experiences.

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up, shape a high-performing and inclusive team, and create a hospitality business that delivers both commercial success and genuine social impact.

About the role

Located within one of Australia's leading hospital precincts, Daily Good will serve hospital staff, visitors, families and the broader community while providing a welcoming and inclusive destination for connection and belonging. As Café Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of café operations, including:

- Leading and developing a diverse team
- Driving sales, customer experience and profitability
- Managing rosters, budgets, suppliers and compliance
- Creating an inclusive workplace where employees with Down syndrome can thrive in meaningful paid employment
- Building relationships with customers, hospital stakeholders and community partners
- Driving catering, functions and venue activation opportunities
- Helping establish Daily Good as a vibrant community destination
- Contributing to both the commercial success and social impact of the café

You are likely to be:

- An experienced hospitality leader




- Passionate about developing people and building positive workplace cultures
- Commercially minded and confident managing budgets and performance
- Calm, organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
