As Australia's only organic mushroom farm for 30 years, we are dedicated to growing and distributing the highest quality organic mushrooms. With established partnerships with Coles and Woolworths nationwide, we are now focusing on expanding our presence in independent retailers and online markets.
About the role
We're looking for a hands-on, reliable person to keep our farm running smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for fixing things, sorting out equipment issues, and making sure our growing rooms, buildings, and machinery stay in valuable working order. No two days are the same, so if you like variety and solving practical problems, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the farm (buildings, equipment, plumbing, basic electrical)
Keeping an eye on climate control systems that keep our mushrooms growing well (we'll train you on the specifics)
Responding quickly when something breaks down
Doing regular checks to catch small issues before they become big ones
Keeping tools, workshops, and storage areas tidy and organised
Liaising with outside contractors when a job needs a specialist
Helping out wherever an extra pair of hands is needed
What we’re looking for
Someone who's genuinely handy. Trade background, farm experience, or just years of fixing things yourself all count
A practical problem-solver who doesn't wait to be told what to do
Comfortable working independently and using good judgement
Reliable and willing to pitch in when something urgent comes up
Basic mechanical, plumbing, or electrical know-how (formal qualifications a bonus, not essential)
Physically fit and happy working outdoors and in a farm environment
