JJ Civil is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Surveyor to join our team on the Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage System Project.

The Role

Working within our project delivery team, you will provide accurate and reliable survey support across construction activities onsite.

You’ll work closely with engineers, supervisors, project managers and site crews to make sure survey works are completed safely, accurately and on time.

This role would suit a surveyor who is confident working in a civil construction environment, enjoys being part of a site team and is comfortable managing day-to-day survey requirements on a busy project.

Responsibilities Include

- Conducting field surveys and construction set-out using modern survey equipment
- Collecting, processing and checking survey data
- Preparing survey reports, plans and documentation




- Supporting engineers and supervisors with accurate survey information
- Maintaining site records and ensuring data quality
- Assisting with conformance and as-constructed surveys
- Establishing, maintaining and checking survey control
- Working with site teams to plan and prioritise survey requirements
- Assisting with survey methodologies and project documentation
- Supporting drone survey and data capture activities where required

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a surveying role
- Experience using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers and modern survey equipment
- Experience with Trimble, Topcon, DJI drones or similar equipment will be highly regarded
- Proficiency with 12d, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, GIS, 3D Office or similar software
- Robust understanding of construction surveying practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A practical attitude and willingness to work in a project site environment
