Job Description

MEETWORLD Our client JL Mechanical Pty Ltd and Nelson Bay Tyres Pty Limited T/A Nelson Bay Mechanical Repairs , Australian automotive company, is seeking a skilled and experienced full-time Motor Mechanic to join small team in Nelson bay(Salamander Bay, 2317, New South Wales). We are dedicated to delivering high-quality automotive services and are committed to providing a supportive and dynamic work environment.

The successful applicant will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance, repair or replace defective components, test vehicles following repairs, use computerised diagnostic equipment and maintain accurate service records. Where appropriately authorised, the role will also include inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates. The position is full-time, comprising 38 hours per week, with an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on the applicant’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Benefits Competitive salary based on skills and experience Full-time position Supportive team setting Modern shop and equipment Task & responsibilities Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures Use computer diagnostic equipment and software to identify issues Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts and maintain vehicles in good condition Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components,



and checking parts Remove parts that are worn or not operating properly and replace them with new or used parts or repair them Performing maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotation, lubrications and engine tune-ups Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure soundness and determine whether there are further issues Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc Any other tasks as required Qualification & experience Certificate III and IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, together with at least one year of relevant experience in the same or a similar position.

Diploma of Automotive Management would be preferred but not mandatory Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities A reliable and strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently under pressure Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines A customer-focused approach Commitment to ongoing training and development About Company The company provides a range of automotive services, including log book servicing, mechanical repairs,engine ,suspension and Breaks repairs, parts and customer support. we are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, reliable service and a professional customer experience.
