Full-time or Part Time | Exceeding-Rated Service | Nature-Based Learning
Inspiring growth, learning and connection through nature.
Nabiac Early Learning is an Exceeding-rated, nature-based early learning service located in the beautiful Mid Coast town of Nabiac. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about high-quality education, values meaningful relationships, and is inspired by learning beyond the classroom. This role also offers the potential opportunity for the successful candidate to develop into an Educational Leader role in the future, depending on service needs and individual strengths.
Our days are filled with muddy boots, messy hands and meaningful learning. Through our Nabiac Natress program, children and educators explore bushland, waterways and natural environments every day, fostering curiosity, resilience and a lifelong connection with nature.
About the Role
As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will:
- Deliver a high-quality educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families and the wider community.
- Participate in our daily nature-based learning program, embracing outdoor experiences in all seasons.
- Support educators through collaboration, reflection and shared learning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and our Exceeding quality practices.
For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibilities in the future, including the potential to step into the Educational Leader role. While this is not a requirement of the position,
we welcome applicants who are interested in growing professionally and contributing to curriculum leadership over time.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved) or currently studying towards a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
- A genuine passion for nature-based and child-led learning.
- Solid knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standard and reflective practice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative, positive and reflective approach.
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
Child Safety Commitment
At Nabiac Early Learning, the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a child-safe environment where children feel respected, valued and empowered.
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Working With Children Check.
- Undergo relevant background and reference checks.
- Hold a current Child Safety Training certificate (or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement).
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
- Adhere to our Child Safe Standards, policies and professional conduct expectations.
Why Join Us?
- Work in a unique, Exceeding-rated nature-based service.
- Be part of a supportive, passionate and collaborative team.
- Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
- Potential future leadership opportunities.
- A workplace that values creativity, connection and innovation.
- The opportunity to make a lasting impact on children, families and the wider community.
