Business Development Manager - Commercial Projects

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our clients Commercial Sales team, reporting to the GroupCommercial Manager. While generating new business and maintaining key customer relationships is an important part of the role, the real point of difference is the chance to manage commercial projects from sale through to successful delivery.

You'll work with hotels, motels, leisure and short-term rental accommodation groups and other commercial customers to ensure every project is carefully planned, co-ordinated and delivered with minimal disruption to their operations.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing new commercial opportunities while managing an existing portfolio of customers throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Unlike a traditional sales role, you'll remain involved long after the sale has been secured-coordinating production, logistics, customer communication and project delivery to ensure exceptional and seamless outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Develop and secure new commercial business opportunities.

Grow and maintain strong relationships with existing commercial customers.

Conduct regular customer visits and identify opportunities for profitable growth.

Attend industry networking events and build brand awareness.

Monitor competitor activity and market trends.





Project Management & Delivery

Manage commercial projects from initial quotation through to final installation.

Coordinate staged mattress replacement programs for hotels, motels and accommodation providers, ensuring minimal disruption to guest operations.

Liaise closely with customers regarding refurbishment schedules, delivery timing and project milestones.

Work collaboratively with Production and Operations teams to coordinate manufacturing schedules and delivery requirements.

Arrange third-party freight and logistics solutions for regional and remote projects where required.

Obtain logistics quotations and accurately incorporate transport costs into customer proposals.

Coordinate custom product requirements, including specialised bases, castors and bespoke product specifications.

Prepare detailed quotations including product specifications, freight, installation and project costs.

Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the lifecycle of every project to ensure expectations are exceeded.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Customer Experience, Commercial Administration and Operations teams.

Maintain accurate project information,



quotations and customer records within Wiise (SRM).

Provide sales reporting, pipeline updates and market intelligence.

About You

You are an organised commercial sales professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects from beginning to end.

You'll bring:

Proven experience in Business Development, Commercial Sales or Account Management.

Demonstrated project management or project coordination experience.

Outstanding organisational and planning skills.

The ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Solid commercial acumen with the ability to prepare detailed quotations and pricing.

Experience coordinating logistics, deliveries or complex customer projects will be highly regarded.

High level computer literacy and experience using CRM or ERP systems.

Manufacturing, wholesale, hospitality, construction or commercial supply experience will be highly regarded.

Salary of $90,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience).
