Community Physiotherapist | Occupational Therapist | Podiatrist, Hervey Bay
Alpha Allied Health is seeking Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists and Speech Pathologists to join our team on a contract basis in Hervey Bay.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential allied health services to a mixture of older adults and NDIS participants in the Hervey Bay region.
Whether you specialise in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, podiatry or speech pathology, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes whilst working flexibly in a supportive healthcare environment.
The position is based in Hervey Bay QLD 4655 and will include travel to neighbouring areas including Maryborough.
What you'll be doing
- Working with a primarily adult to older adult caseload
- Conducting home visits across Hervey Bay for comprehensive client assessments and regular evidence-based treatment as required
- Developing individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment protocols as required to optimise clinical outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, including patient records and progress notes
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Providing patient education and treatment advice
What we're looking for
- Current AHPRA , ESSA or SPA registration
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry or Speech Pathology
- Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle
- Demonstrated clinical experience in your chosen discipline, with a solid understanding of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment principles
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- A patient-centred approach to care, with a commitment to achieving positive patient outcomes
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic healthcare environment
- National police certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain it as required by the contract terms)
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and various clinical conditions
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
