Assistant Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetic | Melbourne

A leadership opportunity is now available for anexperienced Anaesthetic nurse in Paediatric and Adult Care to take on extra responsibilities in a growing operating theatre at a private hospital in Melbourne. This is a permanent full-time position.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will have management aspirations or prior experience to step into a key leadership role. You will be able to work collaboratively and consult with doctors to ensure that best practices and patient outcomes are achieved. In the ANUM role, you will report to and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day running of the ward, you will liaise between surgeons and patients, and ensure an excellent standard of care. The flexibility to work 7-day rotating shifts, including weekend and night shifts, will also be key for this role.

REQUIREMENTS

- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum three (3) years' nursing experiencein an acute setting and/or rehabilitation setting;
- Clinical leadership experience or postgraduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Current or previous experience working in a rehabilitation unit desired;
- Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing professional development.

REMUNERATION

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from$57.44- $59.33+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 60-bed Surgical and Medical facility in Hampton's bayside suburb. The facility has 3 Operating Theatres, 2 Procedure Rooms, a Day Surgery unit, and a4-bed High Dependency unit. It also offers on-site Radiology and Pathology services, Physiotherapy services, and busy specialist consulting suites. A comprehensive range of services is provided, including Breast Surgery, ENT, Gastrointestinal Surgery, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular Surgery.
