We're seeking an experienced Return to Work Specialist to join a respected organisation on a 3-month part-time contract . This is an opportunity to take ownership of workers' compensation claims and injury management, working closely with leaders, injured employees, insurers and treating practitioners to achieve positive return to work outcomes. The role is initially being offered as a contract, with the potential to become permanent.

About the Role

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of workplace and non-work-related injury claims while providing expert advice on return to work obligations and best practice. You'll partner with managers across multiple sites to facilitate protected, timely and sustainable return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage WorkCover claims from notification through to successful return to work
- Develop and monitor Return to Work Plans
- Liaise with injured workers, treating practitioners, insurers and rehabilitation providers
- Coach managers on injury management and legislative obligations
- Participate in insurer claims reviews and stakeholder meetings




- Monitor RTW performance and maintain accurate claims records
- Support continuous improvement of injury management processes and documentation

About You

You will bring:

- Previous experience managing WorkCover claims and Return to Work programs
- A current WorkSafe RTW Coordinator qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian WorkCover system and WIRC Act
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships across the business
- Allied Health, Occupational Rehabilitation or insurer experience will be highly regarded.
