The opportunity:
Join the Molecular Immunity Group at MCRI and contribute to innovative systems immunology research that advances our understanding of human disease. We're seeking a Research Assistant to support cutting-edge laboratory research, working with patient samples and advanced immunological techniques alongside a collaborative team of researchers.
What you’ll do
- Process and prepare patient samples
- Prepare samples for immunological assays including flow cytometry, cell culture, single-cell RNA sequencing and multiplex immunoassays
- Assist and contribute to data generation for research and publications
- Work together with team members and contribute to the needs of ongoing studies
- Assist with high-calibre, competitive research
What you’ll bring
- Degree, Honours or Masters qualification in Science or a related discipline
- Experience in immunology laboratory techniques, particularly flow cytometry and cell culture
- Demonstrated ability to handle cells for immunological assays
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent time management, organisational and analytical problem-solving skills
