KEWAL AND AVONJOT PTY LTD , trading as C4 Crane and Trucks , is a growing transport and lifting solutions company providing crane hire, heavy vehicle transport, logistics, and specialised transport services across Victoria. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport Operations Manager/Fleet Manager to oversee the effective operation, maintenance, compliance, and performance of our fleet of cranes, trucks, and associated equipment.

This is a hands-on management role requiring strong operational coordination skills, sound knowledge of transport and fleet management practices, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Task and Responsibilities.

- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet of cranes, trucks, and transport equipment.
- Supervise drivers, crane operators, and fleet personnel, including rostering, onboarding, performance monitoring, and compliance management.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment utilisation to maximise operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Manage maintenance schedules, servicing, repairs, registrations, inspections, insurance, and compliance requirements for all fleet assets.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, heavy vehicle regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, licensing obligations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate fleet records and prepare operational, maintenance, compliance, and performance reports.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems, driver performance, fuel usage,



and operational efficiency to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with mechanics, service providers, suppliers, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders regarding fleet operations and maintenance matters.
- Investigate vehicle incidents, equipment breakdowns, infringements, and operational issues and implement corrective actions where required.
- Assist with fleet budgeting, asset planning, procurement, and cost-control initiatives to improve productivity and profitability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to fleet management, transport operations, customer service delivery, and workplace safety.

Skills and Experience Required

- Diploma or higher qualification in Business Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Fleet Management, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics coordination, or a related management role.
- Strong understanding of transport operations, fleet maintenance coordination, heavy vehicle compliance, and workplace safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer literacy with experience using fleet management systems, reporting tools, and operational software.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet operational deadlines.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
