Latrobe Regional Health is looking for a Mental Health Clinician 0-25 years to join our growing team on an ongoing full-time basis.

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children, young people and families through their mental health journey?

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting consumers during acute episodes and throughout their recovery journey. You will deliver a broad range of clinical and therapeutic interventions, working collaboratively with consumers, families and carers.

This role involves both urgent and routine assessments, safety planning and delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed care tailored to individual needs. You will contribute to a holistic, person-centred approach that recognises the importance of lived experience and family involvement.

Working across community and bed-based settings, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering safe, effective and culturally sensitive care.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
- Deliver evidence-based clinical and therapeutic interventions
- Provide care coordination and recovery-focused support
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families and carers
- Facilitate access to appropriate services and supports
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and reviews
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in clinical supervision and quality improvement activities

About you





You are a compassionate and adaptable clinician with strong clinical skills and a commitment to working with young people and families.

You will bring:

- Experience in mental health or working with children and young people
- Strong assessment, crisis management and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Current driver's licence
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience

One of the following qualifications:

- Registered Nurse (with postgraduate mental health qualification)
- Occupational Therapist, Psychologist (AHPRA registered)
- Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership)
- Speech Pathologist (eligible for Speech Pathology Australia)
