Monaro Fuel Haulage are seeking a motivated and hands on Workshop Leading Hand to support our Workshop Supervisor in driving efficient day to day workshop operations while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
In this role, you will be a key leader on the workshop floor, coordinating jobs, supporting technicians and apprentices, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into or further develop within a leadership position, backed by the support and guidance of an experienced Workshop Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Roster & Renumeration
- Monday to Friday roster, with the occasional weekend requirements
- 6:00am to 4:00pm daily rostered shifts
- On-call responsibilities in line with operational requirements
- $56.42 per hour (Monday to Friday) $80.60 per hour (Weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Support and supervise daily workshop operations alongside the team
- Assist with servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and complex mechanical issues
- Allocate jobs, manage priorities, and ensure workflow efficiency
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support to technicians and apprentices
- Participate in breakdown response, field service callouts, and on-call duties
- Maintain strong safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards within the workshop

What We Are Looking For
- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in a senior trade, leading hand, or workshop supervisory role
- HR Licence (preferred)
- Robust technical knowledge across diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs
- Sound understanding of compliance requirements and maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship
