Are you an experienced qualified Diesel Mechanic looking for a secure, long-term role with one of Australia's leading national freight businesses?

We are seeking a motivated and reliable mechanic to join our onsite maintenance team, keeping a large fleet operating safely and efficiently.

About the Role

Working in a busy freight and transport environment, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum fleet availability.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working as part of a professional maintenance team.

Your Responsibilities

- Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults
- Complete mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
- Perform safety inspections and defect reporting




- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime

What You'll Need

- Fully qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Qualified)
- Previous experience working on heavy diesel vehicles
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Working Hours

This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including:

- Early morning starts
- Afternoon and evening finishes
- Overtime when required
