The Melbourne Chippy Pty Ltd is seeking a 4th year OR fully qualified Carpenter to join our energetic renovation building team. To be considered for this position you will have:

- Significant experience in trade/construction services and will be a fully qualified Carpenter with at least one reputable reference.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role; Fully qualified in Carpentry OR in 4th year of your apprenticeship.
- Have a proven record to contribute to internal and external renovations, an eye for detail and precision; Have strong communication skills to work alongside trades, contractors, designers and most importantly the client;
- You will be able to work autonomously on a variety of tasks and projects, effectively managing and competing timelines whilst staying flexible enough to deal with urgent situations as required. A passion for the industry is a must as is creative thinking when it comes to solving problems.
- Extremely high levels of communication,



time management skills and leadership skills
- You will be able to read and follow plans
- You must own your own full set of tools and equipment, no tools will be provided.
- ABN required - 3 month probation will be working under your own ABN and once successfully completed your probation, you will move onto wages.
- Be willing to work primarily around Inner Metro North of Melbourne

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Work alongside a team onsite;
- Report back to Director daily with high levels of communication about progress of works;
- Material take off and orders if required;
- Accurate interpretation of plans and instructions, in relation to projects;
- Completion of carpentry tasks, to a high standard - This is a non-negotiable;
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of entire renovation, throughout site progress until completion;
- Positive interaction with clients, sub-contractors and team members;
- Maintain and foster supplier/contractor relations;
- Maintain OH&S; and cleanliness, on-site
