Now, we’re looking for a Service Desk & Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in ensuring exceptional IT support, protecting our digital assets, and driving continuous improvements across our technology and security landscape.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide proactive, customer-focused IT support to all DFC business units, ensuring service levels are met while maintaining a secure and effective technology environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, email security, and other security monitoring platforms.
- Conduct preliminary investigations of security events to determine severity and potential impact.
- Escalate confirmed or suspected security incidents to senior cybersecurity personnel and incident response teams.
- Review phishing reports and assist users with security awareness and best practices.
- Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
- Log, categorise, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests in accordance with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user access issues.
- Perform user account administration, including password resets, access provisioning, and deprovisioning.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams when required.
- Monitor service desk queues and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and incident management.
- Understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, MFA, email security, and vulnerability management tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools.
- Experience using ITSM ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Halo, Freshservices).
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
