Ready to take the next step in project management? Join BORACK and help deliver projects across Australia!
Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year + superannuation, depending on experience and relevant industry exposure.
About BORACK
BORACK is an Australian-based construction and installation business specialising in warehouse racking, automated storage racking systems and related installation projects.
We deliver projects nationally and work with clients, suppliers, construction teams and site crews across a range of warehouse, logistics and industrial environments. Our focus is on safe delivery, clear communication, disciplined coordination and strong project close-out.
We are now looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our project delivery team and take ownership of national small works projects.
About the Role
This role is suited to a strong Project Coordinator, Site Coordinator or Junior Project Manager who is ready to take the next step and manage smaller projects with support from senior project personnel.
As Junior Project Manager, you will coordinate and deliver national small works projects. These projects are typically shorter-duration, lower-risk installation works that still require strong planning, clear communication, commercial awareness and disciplined follow-through.
You will report to the National Project Manager, who will continue to manage higher-value, more technical and higher-risk projects. Your role will be to take ownership of assigned small works projects and keep them moving from internal handover through to completion and close-out.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing project handover information, including scope of works, drawings, quote assumptions, site requirements and client expectations.
Setting up assigned projects in the company project management and administration systems.
Coordinating labour, site rosters, tools, materials, access requirements, travel, accommodation and MHE requirements.
Confirming site readiness before mobilisation, including inductions, site rules, SWMS requirements and client contacts.
Acting as the day-to-day coordination point for assigned projects.
Communicating clearly with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, supervisors, leading hands,
site crews and internal teams.
Tracking project progress, delays, blockers and completion status.
Maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings, work orders, site updates, QA records, progress photos and compliance documents.
Tracking labour, resources and project costs against approved allowances.
Identifying potential cost overruns, scope changes, variations or delivery risks early.
Supporting safe and compliant delivery by ensuring required documentation and site information is in place.
Completing project close-out, including QA records, photos, client sign-off, defect information, variation notes and invoicing handover.
About You
You do not need to be a senior project manager, but you do need to be organised, practical, commercially aware and confident dealing with both clients and site crews.
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Project coordination
Site coordination
Construction administration
Labour or resource scheduling
Warehouse, logistics, fit-out, construction or materials handling environments
You will also bring:
Robust organisational and follow-up skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence liaising with clients, suppliers, supervisors, site crews and internal staff.
The ability to read and understand basic drawings, scopes of work and site instructions.
Basic commercial awareness, including labour allowance, cost control, scope change and variation risk.
High attention to detail.
Confidence using email, spreadsheets, project systems and document control tools.
A practical, calm and proactive approach to problem solving.
Experience with warehouse racking, storage systems, construction, fit-out,
mechanical installation or materials handling environments will be highly regarded.
Experience using Notion, Buildertrend, Connecteam or similar project / operations systems will also be an advantage.
Qualifications and Requirements
Construction, project management, logistics, engineering, operations or trade-related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
White Card or willingness to obtain one may be required.
Current driver licence is preferred.
Right to work in Australia is required.
Interstate coordination will be required.
Occasional site visits or travel may be required depending on project and business needs.
What Success Looks Like
Deliver assigned projects safely and on time.
Keep labour, resources and costs tracked against approved allowances.
Maintain accurate and current project documentation.
Identify site issues, risks, delays and variations early.
Communicate clearly with clients, crews and internal stakeholders.
Close out projects promptly and properly.
Keep the National Project Manager informed without needing to be chased for routine updates.
Contribute to repeatable, profitable and well-controlled delivery.
What We Offer
A full-time role with long-term growth opportunities.
Exposure to warehouse racking, storage systems and installation projects across Australia.
Practical, hands-on project management experience with support from senior project personnel.
A professional team environment that values structure, communication, accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
The opportunity to develop into larger project delivery responsibilities over time, subject to capability, performance and business requirements.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for someone who has been working as a Project Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Installation Coordinator or Junior Project Manager and is ready to take ownership of smaller projects.
It is not a senior project manager role, but it is also not a purely administrative role. You will be expected to coordinate real projects, work with site crews, communicate with clients, track progress and follow through until the job is properly closed out.
