Based in Melbourne Australia, the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC) is an automotive industry employer association that protects and promotes the interests of its members throughadvocacy initiativesand the provision of automotive industry products and services.

Founded in 1918, VACC today provides its members with access to a suite of support measures that assist them in running modern automotive businesses. These includes access to Australia’s largest automotivetechnical library, automotive-specific advice and assistance in human resources,workplace relations,OHS&Eregulation; training and compliance. VACC alsoemploys more than 500 automotive apprentices through its group apprenticeship scheme facilitating placement with host employers in the industry.

About the role

We are looking for an auto-industry qualified motor mechanic or auto electrician with demonstrated post apprenticeship experience to join VACC's Technical Advisory Service, a tight knit team of like-minded experienced and passionate automotive trades qualified's, dedicated to assisting fellow technicians and automotive businesses Australia wide with technical service and repair support.

The successful applicant will join our well established and renowned business as it continues to grow along with the chance to work in the heart of the largest known automotive technical research library.

About you

- Clear and concise verbal communication skills




- Ability to read and interpret written technical data and communicate it to tradespeople at alllevels in plain English
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems and technology
- Strong customer service skills and desire to help others
- Team player
- Sound computer skills incl. Microsoft Office and databases
- Strong organisation skills incl. the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
