What You'll Be Doing

- Overseeing the AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing
- Reviewing and approving payroll processed through Employment Hero
- Administering and reconciling the StarPOS point of sale system
- Maintaining the Xero accounting system including bank reconciliations, journals and accruals
- Leading month-end close and preparing management reports for the Financial Controller
- Assisting with BAS/GST preparation and lodgement
- Supporting budget preparation and variance analysis
- Contributing to process improvement across the finance function
- Supporting internal and external audit processes

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 3–5 years experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong management accounting background – month-end close, reporting and reconciliations
- Experience overseeing AP/AR and payroll functions
- Proficiency in Xero – essential
- Experience with Employment Hero or a similar payroll platform
- Familiarity with POS systems advantageous
- Sound understanding of GST, BAS and compliance obligations
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Business
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards
