What you'll do
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies and decisions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with real-time data visibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand their data needs, ensuring that analytics solutions align with business objectives.
- Conduct data quality assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability of data used in analysis and reporting.
- Utilize statistical techniques to interpret data and generate useful business insights, supporting various departments in their decision-making processes.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics,
continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from various departments, providing timely and relevant insights as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the analytics team.
- Document analytical processes and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility of results.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analytical techniques and tools, fostering a learning workplace within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with SQL for querying databases and managing large data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all analyses.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Previous experience in a specific industry relevant to Skillfield's operations (e.g., education, technology, or consulting).
- Certification in data analytics or related fields (e.g., Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
