Careers and Internship Operations Officer

Working within the UTS Careers team, the Careers and Internship Operations Officer is the first point of contact for industry wishing to promote job and internship opportunities to UTS students. In this role, you'll manage organisation and job approvals on CareerHub (our student database and recruitment portal), ensure compliance with relevant UTS policies, and be involved in projects to improve the student and industry experience.
It's largely an operations and administrative role, so would suit an individual who is both process-driven and customer-focused. In this role you'll interact with a variety of stakeholders including industry partners, faculty staff, Careers colleagues, as well as students. It requires someone who is professional, friendly, reliable and extremely organised.
The Careers and Internship Operations Officer reports directly to the Operations Manager. You'll be required to act autonomously and demonstrate initiative within broad guidelines set by your manager, while recognising the limits of your accountability and seeking advice where appropriate.
As the Careers and Internship Operations Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Being the first point of contact for industry wishing to promote opportunities to UTS students, providing them with accurate, timely advice and assistance.
- Managing organisation and job approvals via CareerHub, ensuring compliance with relevant UTS policies while remaining stakeholder-focused.
- Facilitating continuous improvements to our internship processes in collaboration with faculty and Careers staff to improve the student and industry experience.
- Coordinating reporting activities relating to internships and opportunities on CareerHub, including regular and ad hoc requests.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with faculty partners, Careers staff and other internal stakeholders.

Base Salary Range: $85,165 - $97,429 pa (HEW 5)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis until 4 July 2027 .
