Salary: AUD $79,500 – $86,500 per annum + 12% Superannuation (depending on skills and experience)

JP Manufacturers Pty Ltd trading as Sydcily is an Australian food manufacturer, importer and wholesaler specialising in premium Italian and Sicilian food products. We supply cafés, bakeries, restaurants, distributors and foodservice businesses throughout Australia, as well as catering operations.
We are currently seeking an experienced Baker to join our production team on a full-time basis.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, food safety and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, knead, shape and bake bread, sweet bakery products, pastries and other baked goods.
- Weigh and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production specifications.
- Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor proofing, baking and cooling processes to ensure product quality.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient control.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- A relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 12 months' experience in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing workplace.
- Experience operating commercial bakery equipment.
- Sound knowledge of bakery production processes.
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
