Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to work full time across our residential and commercial sites.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in surface preparation and finishing, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a crew. A current driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle are essential, as this role involves travelling between multiple sites across the south eastern suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, patching and sealing
- Apply primers, undercoats, paints, stains and protective coatings by brush, roller and spray
- Select, mix and match paints, colours and finishes to specification
- Read and interpret job sheets, plans and colour schedules
- Erect and work safely from ladders, trestles and scaffolding
- Apply wallpaper and decorative finishes where required
- Mask, protect and clean up work areas before, during and after the job
- Estimate material quantities and advise on stock ordering
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order
- Liaise professionally with clients, site supervisors and other trades




- Comply with all OH&S; requirements, including safe handling and storage of paints and solvents
- Complete work to schedule and to the required quality and finish standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Painter
- Current Australian driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (essential)
- Sound knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems and finishing techniques
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple sites
- Good attention to detail and a consistent standard of finish
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach with clients and trades
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain
- Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III) or equivalent relevant experience

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $78,000 – $84,000 per year.
