With our Head Office located in Tomago, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchasing Officer / Stores Coordinator to become a key member of our operations team.

About the Role

Reporting directly to WRS Works Manager and Office Manager , you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and control of materials required for fabrication, construction projects, and general stock holdings.

Key responsibilities include:

- Purchasing project materials, consumables, and stock items
- Managing supplier orders and expediting deliveries
- Monitoring and tracking purchase orders from placement through to receipt
- Liaising with Project Managers, Supervisors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintaining inventory levels and stock control systems




- Identifying new suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing
- Receiving and issuing stock from the warehouse and stores area
- Ensuring all purchasing and inventory records are accurately maintained
- Assisting with general stores and yard operations as required

About You

- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, stores, or inventory management
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Experience with BusinessCraft or similar ERP systems (desirable)
- Current Driver's Licence
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety
- Knowledge of building, steel, or construction materials (highly regarded)
- The ability to work independently while supporting a broader project team
