VISNA T MANAGEMENT PTY LTD is looking for a reliable and hands-on Nurseryperson to join our commercial nursery team in Yellingbo, regional Victoria.

This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working with plants, takes pride in producing high-quality stock and is comfortable working in a practical outdoor environment. The role involves propagating, growing, maintaining and preparing plants for sale and distribution.

About the role

As a Nurseryperson, you will be involved in the day-to-day care and production of trees, shrubs, ornamental plants and flowering plants. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive nursery team.

Your duties will include:

- Preparing potting mixes, growing media and containers before planting

- Selecting and planting seeds, bulbs and cuttings in beds, tubs and containers

- Propagating plants through cuttings, budding and grafting

- Watering plants manually and operating automatic irrigation systems

- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases, weeds and nutritional problems

- Applying pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers and plant treatments safely and correctly

- Maintaining accurate records of plantings, soil mixtures, treatments, losses and yields

- Selecting, preparing and packaging plants for sale, delivery and distribution

- Advising customers on plant care and suitable plants for local growing conditions





- Assisting with the presentation and layout of nursery sales areas when required

About you

To be considered for this position, you should have:

- A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Horticulture, Nursery Operations, Production Horticulture or a closely related field

- Practical knowledge of plant propagation, irrigation, potting and general nursery operations

- A genuine interest in horticulture and plant care

- The ability to follow detailed nursery and plant-treatment procedures

Good attention to detail when monitoring plant growth, quality, pests and diseases

- The physical fitness required for outdoor work, lifting and other hands-on nursery duties

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers

- A reliable, responsible and safety-focused approach to work

- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to the wider team

Previous commercial nursery or horticultural experience will be highly regarded.
