About the Role:
Mossop Construction + Interiors is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Site Managers for a 12-month contract opportunity based in Renmark, South Australia, with the solid potential to convert to a permanent role.
Reporting to the Construction Manager (with day-to-day direction from the Project Manager), you will take full ownership of the project site from pre-commencement through to commissioning, handover and practical completion. You will deliver the works in accordance with the contract documents, Mossop’s Quality Management, Health, Safety and Environment systems, Brand Identity standards, and all organisational policies and procedures.
Duties include:
- Represent Mossop professionally in all dealings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, maintaining regular client contact to align construction activities with functional requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the project contract, drawings and specifications.
- Set out the works (and verify set-outs by others), coordinate materials, labour, subcontractors and deliveries, and drive daily progress against the program.
- Supervise site labour and subcontractors for quality, presentation and behaviour; elevate any program or quality risks immediately to the Project Manager.
- Conduct regular site inspections, manage ITPs and hold points, and ensure quality benchmarks are established and maintained.
- Run regular subcontractor meetings (agenda and minutes issued within 48 hours), maintain accurate site records (diaries, RFIs, instructions, plant/equipment registers), and perform site inductions when required.
- Monitor and enforce safe work practices in line with company policy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, mentoring of junior site personnel, and compliance with QA/HSE systems.
About You:
- Extensive experience as a Commercial Site Manager, including delivery of major commercial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and construction management platforms such as HammerTech or Procore (or similar).
- Solid understanding of the NCC and associated Standards.
- Trade background and/or Certificate IV in Building & Construction (highly regarded).
- Proven leadership, excellent communication and issue-resolution skills, high levels of organisation, and the ability to plan, program and forecast work effectively.
- A strong work ethic, sense of urgency,
and values that align with Mossop’s Brand Identity.
As our people are required to attend government, health and education facilities and construction sites, it is a condition of employment for this role, that the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, background police check and working with children clearance is adhered to.
