About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef – Events to lead our Events Kitchen Brigade and deliver exceptional culinary experiences across a diverse range of functions and events.

Reporting to the Culinary Director , you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Events Kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, operational excellence, financial performance and compliance with food safety and legislative standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will inspire and develop your team while maintaining the highest standards of food production and service execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the Events Kitchen team.
- Deliver exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across all events.
- Manage kitchen operations, rostering, stock control and budgets.
- Drive food safety, compliance and operational standards.




- Collaborate with the Culinary Director and key stakeholders to execute successful events.
- Create memorable guest experiences through innovation and culinary excellence.

About You

You are a passionate and experienced culinary leader with a strong background in events, functions, banqueting or high-volume hospitality operations.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead from the front and take pride in developing teams that consistently deliver outstanding results.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or similar leadership role.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing food costs, labour and inventory.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A commitment to quality, consistency and exceptional customer experiences.
- The ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic events environment.

Essential Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Hospitality and/or Management is highly desirable
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures Certification
- Provide First Aid Certification
