- Clerk Grade 5/6 – salary from $102,936 to $113,0579 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Border Surveillance and Compliance Officer to play a critical role in protecting NSW from biosecurity risks crossing the state border. This position sits within the NSW Cattle Tick Program, and supports the operational effectiveness of border surveillance activities through offence triage, image analysis and intelligence-led compliance operations.
Working closely with compliance teams, government agencies and external providers, you will manage the Hyperion Bordercam surveillance system, analyse vehicle movement and detection data, and identify emerging biosecurity threats. Your work will directly support investigations, enforcement activities and targeted compliance campaigns, helping safeguard NSW's agricultural industries, environment and communities.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Experience applying risk-based approaches to compliance, surveillance, security systems or biosecurity operations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret surveillance, detection and operational data to identify trends and potential risks.
- Experience preparing intelligence reports, risk assessments and operational recommendations to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across government agencies, contractors and operational teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a energetic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills with ability to think laterally
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel
