We're seeking an experienced Insurance Domain Architect to play a pivotal role in defining the future-state architecture across core insurance operations, data, reporting and business capabilities. This is a unique opportunity for an architect who combines deep insurance industry expertise with strong enterprise architecture capability and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders across multiple organisations.
Your recent role
As the Insurance Domain Architect, you'll act as the architectural authority across insurance operations, ensuring business, regulatory and operational requirements are reflected in strategic technology decisions. Working closely with business leaders, architects, delivery partners and external stakeholders, you'll define target-state and transition architectures, drive governance outcomes and provide architectural leadership across a complex transformation environment. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, making it ideal for an architect who enjoys influencing strategy, operating models, transformation roadmaps and enterprise-wide decision-making.
Define and maintain target-state and transition-state architectures across core insurance domains. Provide architectural leadership across claims, policy administration, billing, underwriting support and related business functions. Partner with business, finance, compliance and technology stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions support organisational objectives. Lead architecture governance, decision-making forums and design reviews. Translate complex business, regulatory and technical requirements into practical architectural outcomes.
Develop architecture artefacts, standards, roadmaps and governance documentation. Ensure alignment across business, data, integration and technology architecture domains. Identify and mitigate architecture, regulatory and delivery risks. Support data and reporting initiatives where insurance business rules drive platform and reporting requirements. Present and defend architecture decisions to senior technical and executive stakeholders.
What you’ll need to succeed
Extensive experience as a Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect, Business Architect or senior Solution Architect within insurance. Strong knowledge of claims, policy administration, billing and underwriting processes. Experience working closely with finance, actuarial, risk and compliance functions. Demonstrated experience developing enterprise architecture roadmaps, target-state architectures and transformation strategies. Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. Experience operating within structured governance and assurance environments. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive and technical audiences alike. Experience working across multi-vendor, partner or enterprise transformation programs. Exposure to core insurance platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, Sapiens, Majesco or similar would be highly regarded.
What you’ll get in return
Influence strategic decisions that will shape future business capabilities. Competitive contract opportunity with flexible hybrid working arrangements. Join a highly visible program delivering meaningful organisational change.
