Your new company An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Supply Planner to join a global manufacturing organisation with a strong market presence and a reputation for quality and innovation. Working as part of a cooperative Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring product availability, inventory optimisation and supply continuity across a portfolio of manufactured products. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining supply plans to support forecasted customer demand
- Balancing inventory levels to achieve service targets while minimising excess and obsolete stock
- Collaborating with demand planning, procurement and operational teams to identify and mitigate supply risks
- Managing replenishment planning and intercompany stock transfers
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability
- Supporting S&OP; activities through supply planning insights and recommendations
- Monitoring and reporting on inventory and supply chain KPIs
- Maintaining planning parameters and master data within SAP
- Coordinating annual stocktakes, including reporting and variance investigations
- Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Supply Planner, Materials Planner, Inventory Planner or similar supply chain planning role
- Strong SAP experience, particularly within MRP planning processes
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Strong inventory management and replenishment planning capabilityExposure to S&OP; and cross-functional supply chain collaboration
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience within chemical, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, FMCG or other complex manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
