Motor Mechanic-Full-time position vacant at automotive workshop Gladstone Tyres & Auto Pty Ltd trading as Tyrepower Gladstone, ABN: , at 93 Hanson Road, Gladstone, Qld-4680. Minimum 38 hours a week.

Job Description

- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles.
- Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
- check and repair suspensions, brakes and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
- Reassembling engines and parts following repair.
- Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.
- Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and machinery in good condition.




- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
- Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
- Coordinating with other mechanics where teamwork was needed.

Applicant Must Have

- Completed at least Cert-III in automotive and at least 3 years of full time work experience as a motor mechanic. Experience in servicing Hybrid cars would be preferred. Must know how to work on Asian, Intercontinental and European car models.
- Must hold a current driver's license and Licensed Vehicle Tester
- A desire to achieve results.

Annual Salary (depending on experience/skills) between $79,000 - $82,000 plus superannuation.
