A major Australian retailer has recently launched its own retail media offering, giving suppliers and brands the ability to advertise directly to customers across its network. The platform is now live, and the focus is shifting from build to proving its value in market.

This newly created role sits within the Data, AI & Loyalty team and leads a team of three, including data and insights analysts who handle the deeper technical work. You'll be the bridge between that data and the commercial conversations that matter, working closely with the sales team, sitting in on customer meetings, and running quarterly business reviews where you'll explain campaign performance and ROI to retail media clients.

This is an operate role rather than a build role, ideal for someone who wants to lead a small team and own the client-facing side of a retail media function, without needing to be hands-on with the technical build.

What you'll be doing

- Managing and developing a team of three analysts,



setting priorities and quality standards for their work
- Sitting in on customer meetings and acting as a confident voice on retail mediaperformance
- Running quarterly business reviews for major retail media clients
- Working closely with the sales team on quarterly spend performance and post-sale support
- Translating data and analysis into explicit, commercially useful narratives for retailmedia buyers
- Acting as the go-to person for data within the retail media function

What you'll bring

- A background in performance marketing, campaign management or retail media, gained in an agency or in-house environment
- Retail media experience is highly regarded, for example from within a retailer's own retail media arm
- Comfortable working with data and reporting tools (Power BI)
