Role : Integrated Logistics Specialist (ILS)
An Integrated Logistics Specialist (ILS) ensures that Defence equipment or systems can be operated, maintained, and supported efficiently throughout their entire lifecycle . The role focuses on planning and managing all logistics and sustainment activities rather than designing the equipment itself.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Supportability Analysis to determine how equipment will be maintained and supported.
- Develop Maintenance Plans (preventive and corrective maintenance).
- Prepare Lifecycle Sustainment Documentation , such as:
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Plans
- Maintenance Plans
- Technical Manuals
- Supportability Reports
- Spares and provisioning documentation
- Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) .
- Work within Integrated Product Support (IPS) frameworks.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, warehousing, and Defence stakeholders.
- Ensure equipment availability while minimizing lifecycle costs.
Required Skills
- Experience in Defence sustainment or military logistics.
- Knowledge of:
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
- Integrated Product Support (IPS)
- Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM)
- Obsolescence and lifecycle management
- Experience with MILIS (Military Integrated Logistics Information System) is highly desirable.
- Robust documentation and stakeholder management skills.
