About the Role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing advanced rigging activities, including complex lifting operations, structural installations, and mechanical equipment movements. You will work closely with engineers, crane operators, mechanical fitters, and project teams to deliver safe and efficient project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform advanced rigging activities in accordance with Australian Standards, project requirements, and safety procedures.
- Plan and execute complex lifting operations, including heavy and precision lifts.
- Install, dismantle, and relocate mechanical equipment, structures, and components.
- Carry out dogging, rigging, and lifting operations using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Interpret lift plans, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Inspect and select lifting gear, equipment, and rigging systems.
- Conduct pre-start checks and ensure all equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
- Work collaboratively with crane operators, trades personnel, supervisors, and engineering teams.




- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Complete required documentation, including safety records and lift-related paperwork.
- Mentor and support less experienced rigging personnel where required.

Essential Requirements

- Current High Risk Work Licence – Advanced Rigger (RA).
- Demonstrated experience performing advanced rigging activities in an industrial or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of lifting practices, rigging techniques, and load calculations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and lift plans.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening (where required).

Desirable

- Experience working on major engineering, mining, energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Crane operations experience.
- EWP, Forklift, Dogging, or other High Risk Work Licences.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certification.
- Construction Induction White Card.
- Experience with shutdowns, equipment installation, or heavy lifts.
- Strong understanding of critical lift procedures and permit systems.
