Job Description

- Campaign manage key community fundraising campaigns
- Lead a team in delivering community fundraising campaigns and events that generate revenue and build trust with supporters in community to ensure a loyal and enduring connection with CCNSW
- Lead, drive and be accountable for community fundraising portfolios in line with agreed targets and budgets
- Support the development and implementation of community fundraising operational plans to ensure CCNSW is relevant to local communities through; Engaging communities and stakeholders to support CCNSW via partnerships, fundraising and volunteering
- Effectively manage a team of 4-8 staff members based across multiple Cancer Council offices
- Manage key relationships across multiple communities in NSW
- Consistently implement and support CCNSW's brand and communication strategies and plans
- Ensure staff engage and inspire community within their area of responsibility to deliver an outstanding fundraising experience

by joining the passionate team at CCNSW you'll know that each day the work you're doing will positively impact people in your life and Australia., Reporting to the Community Fundraising Unit Manager, this position sits within the Community Fundraising unit of the Marketing & Fundraising Division (M&F;) at Cancer Council NSW. The Community Fundraising unit works at a local level to form sustainable relationships and deliver NFP sector leading fundraising events/campaigns to ensure growth and sustainability of our fundraising portfolio.

This role will manage a team of community fundraising staff based across four Cancer Council offices in NSW, to support the development of, and operationalise the community fundraising strategy, lead the team to deliver events and campaigns, and manage key stakeholders to achieve community fundraising budgets.

The role will also lead the team to achieve additional success measures such as supporter engagement, retention and acquisition KPIs to build and maintain sustainability for the organisation.

Please note this is a 12 month parental leave cover role - ending September 2027. Given the Community Fundraising Coastal Team is located across our CCNSW offices in Erina, Kotara, Port Macquarie and Byron Bay,



we are flexible as to which of these locations the Community Fundraising Lead role is based in, noting that travel to all of these offices and communities throughout the year will be required.

About the Candidate

Essential

- Demonstrated understanding of community fundraising practices and principles
- Experience in people leadership including team development, performance management and motivation of employees and volunteers
- Ability to identify, develop and manage relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across diverse sectors to assist in achieving community fundraising objectives
- Ability to actively plan and make recommendations to ensure continual improvement in operational delivery
- An ability to travel extensively throughout NSW communities and work flexible hours, including weekends
- Current drivers licence

Desirable

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple locations
- Qualifications or experience in fundraising, business or event management disciplines
